We take your privacy very seriously.

This website is administered by Damco. The primary purpose of Damco is to be a dynamic resource and business tool for our clients, prospects, analysts, researchers and media. We want you to feel secure when visiting our site and we are committed to maintaining your privacy when doing so. This policy describes how Damco gathers and processes your personal information (also referred to as personal data) in accordance and compliance with the relevant data protection regulation and laws. Damco is committed to providing the highest level of protection regarding the processing of their customers’ personal data.

Damco website are not directed at nor targeted at children. No one who has not reached the age of thirteen may use the website unless supervised by an adult.

Anti-Spam policy

Damco recognizes the receipt, transmission or distribution of spam emails (i.e. unsolicited bulk emails) as a major concern and has taken reasonable measures to minimize the transmission and effect of spam emails in our computing environment. All emails received by Damco are subject to spam check. Any email identified as spam will be rejected with sufficient information to the sender for taking necessary action. With this measure, along with other technical spam reduction measures, Damco hopes to minimize the effect of spam emails. Damco reserves the right to reject and/or report any suspicious spam emails, to the authorities concerned, for necessary action.

What information do we gather?

What about data security?

We take appropriate steps to maintain the security of all your data on Damco website. You should understand that the open nature of the Internet is such that data may flow over networks without security measures and may be accessed and used by people other than those for whom the data is intended. Having said that, this site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and/or alteration of information under our control. The data resides behind a firewall, with access restricted to authorized Damco personnel. We work hard to protect you and your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction and have several layers of security measures in place, including measures such as SSL, encryptions, restricted access, IT authentication, firewalls, anti-virus/malware etc. We collect information in the below ways: Online forms submitted on our website by an individual and Employment CV’s for jobseekers on our website, data taken from social networking sites and other third-party tools. We will take your consent in order to use this information collected when we will contact you for the first time. You will be shared with unsubscribe or an opt-out link in all our emails if you ever wish to discontinue or do not want Damco to contact you.

How We Use Your Personal Data

Damco takes your privacy very seriously and will never disclose, share or sell your data without your consent; unless required to do so by law. We only retain your data for as long as is necessary and for the purpose(s) specified in this policy. Where you have consented to us providing you with marketing newsletters and updates, you are free to unsubscribe to our promotions and newsletters at any time. We will process your information only for the purposes you have provided us your consent for. The purposes and reasons for processing your personal data are detailed below: –

We collect your personal data to occasionally send you marketing information where we have assessed that it is beneficial to you as a prospect or a customer and in our interests like blogs, company news, weekly/ monthly newsletters. Such information will be non-intrusive and is processed on the grounds of legitimate interests.

We might collect your personal data for providing employment opportunities to you. We analyse it to determine what is most effective about our site, to help us identify ways to improve it, and eventually, to determine how we can tailor Damco to make it more effective. We may also use data for other purposes, which we would describe to you at the point we collect the information.

We also use this information to send out EDMs (Electronic Direct Mails) to announce the launch of our new services, invitations to our events and other informational mails from our senior management. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings by choosing the unsubscribe option in the mails.

Your Rights

We will respond to your requests within 30 days. This timeline may be extended by further two months depending upon the complexity and number of requests which might result in a delay. In such as case, Damco will notify you about such an extension along with the reasons for the delay within 30 days of receipt of request.

Transfers outside the EU

Personal data in the European Union is protected by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) but some other countries may not necessarily have the same high standard of protection for your personal data. There can be situations where Damco has to process the data outside the EU. However, Damco will ensure that your data is securely transferred outside EU and protected under the GDPR guidelines and will be governed through standard data transfer agreements that include all necessary clauses in order to secure and protect your data and your privacy.

We store your information on our servers/applications hosted in India/UK/US. We may share your information with our vendors, contractors, relevant government authorities and court of law, as required by the laws of the land. Damco has agreements to ensure confidentiality of all such information shared with service providers (contractors/subcontractors) we work with.

Therefore, when you send us an email, request for any information on our website or sign up to our newsletter/ blog on our website, the personal information you submit may be stored on our servers or third-party servers which may be hosted outside the EU. Where this is the case, we will take necessary steps to ensure that those providers use the necessary level of protection for your information and abide by strict agreements and measures set out by Damco to protect your data and comply with the relevant data protection laws.

How Long We Keep Your Data

Damco only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary and we have strict review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations. Where you have consented to us using your details for direct marketing, we will keep such data until you notify us otherwise and/or withdraw your consent.

Grievance Redressal

Any grievance or complaint, in relation to processing of information, should be sent to Damco in writing to the contact email ID dpo@damcosoft.com (Grievance Officer). Grievances shall be redressed as expeditiously as possible.

Changes to this Policy

Please note that this Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Policy without your explicit consent. We will post any Policy changes on this page. We will also keep prior versions of this Policy in an archive for your review.

We will post a notice for 30 days at the top of this page notifying users when this Privacy Statement is updated or modified in a material way.
